About the Inn
The Ocean House Inn is located in Homer, Alaska, one of the most beautiful settings in the world. It's an eclectic town, with folks who are friendly and helpful, artsy and outdoorsy, hardy and self-reliant, fun-loving and free spirited. Imagine if you will...a little town nestled on the shore of Kachemak Bay, glaciers and mountains rimming the shoreline and active volcanos looming in the distance.
The town was made famous as "The End of the Road" in Tom Bodett's tales. You will find Homer at the end of the Sterling Highway surrounded by wilderness and ocean. Known as "The Halibut Fishing Capital of the World," you'll also find a variety of activities such as kayaking, bear viewing, hiking, foodie and art vacations. The longest road into ocean waters in the world can be found at the Homer "Spit" (a geological landform) offering incredible views and a variety of wildlife.
